Klene United States Team: Bill Klene The Minneapolis Coal Dock was a basic wooden frame structure with a capacity of about 75 tons of coal and 5 tons of sand. This size coal dock, located in Marshalltown, Iowa; was typical of the type found on branch line railroads. Coal was raised in the sheltered tower and the sand was lifted in bucked on the side of the coal bin.
