Telltales are use to warn RR workers walking on tops of RR cars that they are approaching a low clearance object such as a bridge overpass, tunnel, coal tower, act. Rules require that Telltales be positioned about 1000 feet before the low clearance object. This telltale is based upon a feature in a recent issue of Model Railroader. I downsized the original to meet NG specifications. The telltale ropes are positioned at 14 feet above the rails. If this is incorrect, let me know. POLYCOUNT 263
